The Freemasons’ Hall is a fully functioning venue with a wide variety of uses. It was primarily constructed as a masonic hall offering a meeting and dining place for the freemasons of Darlington and the surrounding area. Today, it is still used several times a week by masonic lodges but compliments these activities with public and private lettings tailored to clients’ requirements.

Offering the perfect venue for major functions such as Wedding Receptions, Christenings, Engagement Celebration or Business Dinners, Freemasons’ Hall, Darlington, has it all.

Ladies and Gents Cloak Rooms are complimented with Access facilities. Conference rooms are available with seperate entry if required.

Offering top quality cuisine, the Hall being popular with wedding parties looking for a centralised reception venue with good parking nearby. The Hall caters comfortably for up to 120 diners and offers a range of layouts to suit.

Waitress Service is available for formal events complimented with a fully licensed bar offering a wide range of drinks. These include draught beers, spirits with mixers, soft drinks and a wine list offering fine table wines to be drunk without breaking the bank.

We also offer a small function facility by converting the lounge bar into a dining room catering for up to 30 people for that special dinner party or business lunch.

We can provide table planning if required and the building has a PA system with wireless lapel or hand held microphones.


Location:
The Freemasons’ Hall is just a short drive from the major routes in the area (A1M and A66) whilst being located close to the town centre of Darlington and importantly, adjacent to a large public car park with CCTV. The Railway Station is just 5 minutes away.

Facilities: The building is on two floors with the main hall and lounge bar being on the ground floor near to the catering area. The main hall offers seating and dining facilities for parties of up to 120 diners. Public announcement system is built into the hall.
